do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. (Isaiah 41:10) Do no be afraid. Let us confess our sin before God, and trust in God's help: Prayer of Confession The angels shout "Bravo" in awe of the glory of your visible power, O God, yet humankind fails to notice or to give even a passing glance to the crashing waters or the thundering skies, to the quaking mountain ranges or the dancing oak trees. All of creation sings praises to you, God, yet humankind -- made in the image of the Creator with the ability to think and to reason -- shouts against you and denies your existence until we face our mortality, and then ... we hedge our bets and call on your mercy. Forgive us, we pray. Speak to us of your power and strength through the majesty of all your hand has formed, that we may once again recognize your brilliance, your compassion, and your wisdom through all you have created. Assurance of God's Grace So (Jesus) came and proclaimed peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, for through him both of us have access in one Spirit to the Father. (Ephesians 2:17-18) Hear the Good News: In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week. The God who reigns over mighty waters,
who thunders through the skies, whose voice tips the oldest trees, calls to us -- humans -- to come together in worship. Here we find strength in the Creator's power. Here we find peace in the Creator's presence. Let all who enter God's temple cry, "Glory!" Isaiah 6:1-8 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+6%3A1-8&version=NRSVUE

Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer! You spoke everything that exists into being. You sang your song of life and the world populated with plants and flowers and trees, the oceans teamed with fish, the skies, with flying creatures. You open your hand and feed us. You breathe your Spirit into us and give us life. You are Lord of the tremors, Master of the volcanoes. You speak and the waves settle. Be present with your creation, O God. Encircle your creatures with protection, we pray. Turn your face upon us and bless us with your healing light. Restore what we have broken, and renew what we have polluted. Reconnect us, Source of Life, to the earth from which we’ve come, and the soil which produces our food, that we may be ever mindful of your abundance and or our responsibility to steward our resources and our choices with wisdom and compassion. *Artwork "You Open Your Hand and Feed Us" by Pastor and Certified Zentangle (R) Teacher (CZT), Julie Gvillo. 5/16/2024 0 Comments Playlist, Pentecost BCall to Confession
Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all evildoers from the city of the Lord. (Psalm 101:8) Let us turn from evil and from all our wicked ways and seek the mercy of the Lord our God: Prayer of Confession God of Creation, forgive us! We look at the vast expanse of your wonderful world, and we claim dominion over it and then we abuse that power. We hoard resources, so that others go hungry. We strip the land of valuable minerals without a single thought about the future. We pollute the air, the water, the soil, and watch your creatures die as a result. We do not sing songs of praise, but dirges of death and canticles of clout. Forgive us, we pray! Speak to us through hill and flower! Sing to us through ocean wave! Send your Spirit through wind and flame and move through us with great strength! Remind us of our responsibility to steward your gift to us with wisdom and with love that we might pass it on to the next generation for nourishment, nurture, and life-giving joy. Assurance of God's Grace God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us 5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ[c]—by grace you have been saved— (Ephesians 2:4-5) Hear the Good News: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week. Come, you creatures of the Creator's own design, you who are made in the Creator's image. Come, you who look to the Creator for food, and you who gather it. Come, you who have been given life and breath, and you who face your mortality. Come and rejoice in the works of the Lord! Come and sing praises while you have being! Let us worship God!
