The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7) Let us confess our foolishness before God and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession Gracious and Merciful Lord, hear our prayers! Foolishly, we have taken credit for our own accomplishments, never giving thought to the ways in which you direct our paths or supply our needs or intercede with messengers who lead us in your way. Foolishly, we break covenant with you while you remain every faithful, showing us the power of your works even when we refuse to open our eyes. Foolishly, we have failed to practice wisdom, or to study your works, or to lift up your name in thanksgiving. Forgive us, we pray! Redeem our foolish ways and lead us in the paths of righteousness according to your perfect will. Assurance of God's Grace In Christ we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace ... (Ephesians 1:7) Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week. 1/23/2024 0 Comments Call to Worship, E4BCongregate with your people, children of God!

To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, but we have rebelled against him ... (Daniel 9:9) Let us confess our rebelliousness before God and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession Forgive us, God. We do not wait for you to act, but run around trying to fix all the things that are broken by our own doing. We do not take refuge in you, but allow ourselves to be rattled by overwhelming tasks and diminishing resources. We have allowed our sense of trust to be shaped by human frailties. Forgive us, O God, and help us to focus our attention on you, whose promises never fail. Draw us near to you, where we can find strength and calm. Teach us to rely fully on your steadfast love and power. Amen. Assurance of God's Grace God has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of {God's} beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1:13-14) Hear the Good News: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week. 1/16/2024 0 Comments Call to Worship, E3BCome, you who wait for deliverance ...
