Be present with your children, Lord.
Be present with the youth
who are trying to find their way in the world, 
who are seeking to be faithful disciples.
Be present with those who desire you
with their whole hearts.
By whatever name we call ourselves, Lord,
be present with us,
here and around the world.

Be present, Living Word,
with those who strive to live
according to your statutes,
who treasure your ordinances,
who delight in your decrees.
Be present with us and teach us 
how to do your will
in a world that tries so hard to pull us from it.

Fix our eyes on you, O Lord.
Keep us focused
that we may not sin against you
in thought, word, or deed.
Grant us courage to declare your works,
to promote your justice,
and to reflect your light
and your love,
​this day and every day.
