Everlasting God,
the weary gather, some fragile and old, some hungry and tired, some hurting and alone, all weakened by the journey. They sit beside their broken dreams and watch for the return of hope, and remember what it was like before. Longing for sustenance, they gather, God, some looking to you for strength to continue, some looking to you for nurture and nourishment and life, while others look for opportunities to let go. Everlasting God, your power is beyond comprehension for the powerless, the voiceless, the hopeless, the grieving. In your mercy, move your Spirit among them ... among us ... and breathe new life under our wings that we might soar above the ever changing winds that blow. Amen.
