... everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) Let us call on the name of the Lord, and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession Your faithfulness is beyond our imagination, O God, and all your works declare your majesty! Yet your people have failed to praise you, we have not honored your name by sharing the stories that tell how you remain present with us. Our eyes are trained on the evil in the world. Our hearts are selfish and devoted to our own good. We lament calamity instead of celebrating covenant. Forgive our foolishness, we pray. Open our eyes to the miracles you work daily. Open our hearts to the ways in which we can participate in your kin-dom work! Open our mouths to sing your praise everywhere we go. Assurance of God's Grace For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God-- 9 not the result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Hear the Good News: In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week.
