And before {God} no creature is hidden, but all are naked and laid bare to the eyes of the one to whom we must render an account. (Hebrews 4:13) Let us render the accounts of our sin before God and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession Forgive us, God. You know all our judgmental and unkind thoughts. You have seen us coming to and going from underground places where we devise our secret plans to look out only for ourselves. In doing so, we cause pain to others. Have mercy on us, we pray. Immerse us in the light of your unconditional love. Cross-examine and test us and get a clear picture of what we are about, healing our brokenness and restoring us to right relationship with you and with our siblings in Christ. Assurance of God's Grace When we confess our sin, God who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sin (1 John 1:9), removing it as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12) and remembering it no more (Hebrews 8:12). Hear the Good News: In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week.
