7/3/2019 0 Comments Prayer of Confession, P4CCall to Confession
Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, til God has mercy upon us. (Psalm 123:2) Let us confess our sin before God, and seek God's mercy. Prayer of Confession, P4C O Lord, do not punish us because we have done foolishly and have sinned. Have mercy on us, we pray. Our impatience has gotten the best of us. Our tempers flare. In our pride, we fail to acknowledge the wonders you can do for us in the simplest of ways. We demand great shows of power to match what we think of ourselves, when your all-encompassing love shows what you think of us. Forgive our egocentricity. Teach us the humility of prayer and the wisdom of listening to the faithful when addressing matters of the spirit however they manifest themselves. Assurance of God's Grace You were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (2 Corinthians 6:11b) In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this day.
