For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:14) Let us confess our sin before God and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession Forgive us, God. We are dishonest with little and dishonest with much. We hoard. We hide. We make power plays. We do not give to Ceasar what is Caesar's, and we do not give to you what is yours. In fact, we pretend that everything we have is ours, instead of acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from you. Lord, have mercy. Help us release the fear that weighs us down. Reorient our allegiance, so that the only Master we serve is you. Teach us to be stewards of all our resources ... of money, yes, but also of relationships and of creation and of our particular gifts in such a way that everyone benefits from that which you so generously share with us. Assurance of God's Grace for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. (Colossians 3:3-4) Hear the Good News: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week.
