And to whom did God swear that God's people would not enter God's rest but to those who were disobedient? (Hebrews 3:18) Let us confess our disobedience before God, and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession Almighty God, We struggle with hardened hearts, with anger at the world that is out of control, with certainty that we are surrounded by enemies. We have walked away from you, decided you have abandoned us, made you over into an angry judgmental version of ourselves. Forgive us, we pray. We have seen your work. We have praised your name. Teach us to listen to your voice. Teach us to follow your Living Word. Make of us the people you have called us To be. Assurance of God's Grace Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and eat with you, and you with me. (Revelation 3:20) Friends, hear the Good News: In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week.
