Call to Confession
For the wrongdoer will be paid back for whatever wrong has been done, and there is no partiality. (Colossians 3:5) Let us confess our lack of love before God and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession God of Love, forgive us. We show partiality: to those with power, to those with money, to those with fame. We deny our connection to leaders who love unconditionally, listen without favoritism, and lead graciously. We crucify those who upend the norms of our society and call us to love our neighboras as ourselves. Forgive us, we pray, and lead us to the empty tomb which stands as witness that love has overcome death sin and death for all God's children everywhere. Assurance of God's Grace For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and is generous to all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:12-13) Hear the Good News: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven. Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week.
