Jesus said to them, “... Walk while you have the light, so that the darkness may not overtake you. If you walk in the darkness, you do not know where you are going ...” (John 12:35b) Let us confess the places where we have walked in darkness and seek the Light of God's unconditional love. Prayer of Confession God of Glory, we claim to see you as you are, but instead we see you as we have created you in our minds ... we have tried to remake you into our image instead of submitting to the Holy Spirit that we might be remade into your image. We put conditions on your commandment to love one another, choosing to love only those who look like us and behave like us and worship like us and come from "here." Forgive us, we pray. Transform our hearts, so that the love you pour over us is reflected in all we say and do. Shine your light in and through us, so that you may be recognized in us and glorified. Assurance of God's Grace Jesus said, ... "Because I live, you also will live." John 14:19b Hear the Good News: In the name of Jesus Christ we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week.
