2/1/2024 0 Comments Prayer of Confession, E5BCall to Confession
Come, let us return to the Lord, for it is he who has torn, and he will heal us; he has struck down, and he will bind us up. (Hosea 6:1) Let us confess our sin before God and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession You are worthy, O God, of glory and honor and praise, but our songs are mournful rather than thankful, dirges, rather than dances. Forgive our failure to trust in your abundant mercy, in your extravagant grace, in your steadfast love and faithfulness, in your unending compassion. Open our hearts to your immeasurable goodness, and teach us new songs that bring glory to your name. Assurance of God's Grace The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18) Hear the Good News: in the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week.
