5/7/2020 0 Comments Prayer of Confession, E5ACall to Confession
Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:9 Let us confess our sin before God and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession, E5A We are Thomas, saying, "Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?" We are Philip, saying, "Lord, show us the Father." All this time, and still we do not know you. If we did, we would recognize you. We would recognize God-with-us. We would see your works, and point to them. But we are blinded by our disbelief, unable to see through our fear, frozen by our anxiety. Forgive us, we pray. What we want more than anything is the sure and certain hope that you are above all, and in all, and through all ... that you will bring good from these circumstances as you have brought good from whatever we have handed you in the past ... that you who created all things good will redeem this mess we have created and save us along with it. We believe, Lord. Help our unbelief! Assurance of God's Grace For God so loved the world, that God gave God's only Son that whosoever believes in him would not perish, but would have everlasting life. God did not send God's son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17 In the name of the risen Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this day~ *Photo credit: Crystal Holmes <3
