All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) Let us confess our sin before God and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession Standing before you, O God, our hearts laid bare at the sound of your voice, we beseech you: forgive us! Over and over and over, we have betrayed you. Hear us as we renew our devotion to you and promise to feed your lambs no matter what words they use to describe themselves; to feed your sheep, whatever their race or gender or creed; to feed your people, running in fear from war-torn and gang-infested places where poverty and oppression are rampant. We will feed them, Lord, with love and mercy, just as you would do. Assurance of God's Grace God has promised that when we confess our sin, God, who is faithful and just, will forgive us our sin, removing it as far as the east is from the west, and remembering it no more. (Psalm 103:12, Hebrews 8:12) Hear the Good News: in the name of Jesus Christ we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter.
