1/19/2022 0 Comments Prayer of Confession, E3CCall to Confession
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18) Therefore, let us confess our sin before God with broken and contrite hearts (Psalm 51:17), and seek God's mercy. Prayer of Confession Almighty God, you have called us, claimed us, and sent us out to proclaim the Good News to all who burdened and battered, and to announce your activity in the world, but we are reluctant to speak, and we cower under the gaze of those who seek to intimidate us, to undermine your message, and to distort it for their own purposes. Forgive us, we pray. Embolden us by the power of your Spirit and put your Word on our tongues that we may faithfully proclaim it every day by what we say, but also by every single thing we do. Assurance of God's Grace Jesus said, "I have come as light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in the darkness." (John 12:46) In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week.
