12/7/2023 0 Comments Prayer of Confession, A2BCall to Confession
Yet {God}, being compassionate, forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them; often {God} restrained {God's} anger and did not stir up all {God's} wrath. (Psalm 78:38) Let us confess our iniquity before God, and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession Oh, that we would be eager to hear your Word, O God; to see Love and Truth meet in the streets; for Right Living and Whole Living to embrace and kiss! Forgive us for our love of petty drama, for our failure to check facts, for our idol worship which all amounts to living like fools. Retrain our eyes upon you and the example Jesus set, teaching us to listen and to love and to speak truth to power, even when it is difficult or uncomfortable or painful. Pour out your Holy Spirit upon your people everywhere, we pray. And lead us in the way of righteousness for your name's sake. Assurance of God's Grace For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God-- 9 not the result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Hear the Good News: In the name of Jesus Christ we have indeed been saved. Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week.
