Call to Confession

Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near. (Matthew 3:2) Let us repent before God, confessing our sin, and turning from our wicked ways:

Prayer of Confession

Send help, God!
All Hell has broken loose!
Creation is in an uproar,
and threats of doom
have knocked the very wind out of us.
Fear and trembling gripped us
but then …
we brushed it off ...
we got distracted …
we fell asleep at the wheel.
Forgive us, we pray.
Refocus our attention on
this moment, O God.
Tune us into the world around us.
Open our ears to your eternal Word.
In your mercy, Lord,
grant us strength and wisdom
to actively prepare for the moment
when you return in glory
that we might welcome you in the grand style
befitting the Son of Man.

Assurance of God's Grace

Arise, shine; for your light has come,
    and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. (Isaiah 60:1)
Believe the Good News: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven. Thanks be to God!

Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. 
The peace of Christ be with you.
