Call to Worship, Lent 4B

​In quiet desperation,
we come before the throne,
some whose hearts are breaking,
some who feel too much alone.

In faithless acts, as rebels,
we've denied who we should be,
and we come into God's presence
facing our iniquity.

The days are surely coming
when HOPE will be restored,
and God will write it on our hearts,
and remember our sin no more.

Let us worship then with gladness
knowing God is in our midst,
our sorry selves now reconciled,
the beloved of God transfixed.
