Jesus came to the water to be baptized by John.
So we come to the water, Curious, Hopeful, Reluctant, Remembering. We come to be cleansed, Claimed, Renewed, Restored. Saved by grace, We are welcomed, Named, Cherished. Thanks be to God!

I came to the waters of baptism with a lot of emotions. I was ready to be cleansed. I was excited for the rebirth of my soul. I had been longing for a relationship with my Father. As a Southern Baptist, it is important to show your public declaration of baptism. I am thankful to have been able to do that with my family. It’s important for the men of the family to be leaders and to have a healthy and strong relationship with our Father. I felt so much more renewed and clean after my baptism. I approached the waters with excitement and a yearning desire to be poured into and filled with God’s love.
