3/26/2025 0 Comments Prayer of Confession, L4CCall to Confession
(God promises,) "I alone am the one who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins." (Isaiah 43:25) Let us confess our transgressions before God and seek God's mercy. Prayer of Confession Forgive us, God, for we have sinned, and done what is evil in your sight. We have not been honest with ourselves or with you about the depth of our deception, the breadth of our complicity in the world's pain and suffering, or the length of our predicament. We can hardly face you knowing what we have done to our siblings in Christ, to your creation, and to you. Have mercy on us, we pray, and renew a right spirit within us, that we might be transformed by the grace your pour on us day by day. In Jesus' name we ask it, Amen. Assurance of God's Grace I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you. (Isaiah 44:22) Hear the Good News: In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week.
