2/19/2025 0 Comments Prayer of Confession, E+7CCall to Confession
“All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, (1 Peter 1:24) Let us confess our withered falling before the Lord, and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession Forgive us, Lord. We are fretting. Instead of putting our trust in you, we are freaking. out. We are envious of wrongdoers who always seem to land on their feet, wealthier and more powerful than they were before, and it's frustrating. Why do the ones who create the most chaos get pacified? Why do cheaters always seem to win? Forgive us, Lord. We have not fully committed to you. We do not delight in spending time with you. We're busy, you know, and justice seeking takes a back seat. Standing up for truth and goodness is exhausting. We grow impatient and angry, and we undo what little good we had done, and we betray you. Forgive us, we pray, and teach us to trust in what we cannot see. Assurance of God's Grace For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— (Ephesians 2:8) Hear the Good News: in the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week.
