Call to Confession

All we like sheep have gone astray;
    we have all turned to our own way,
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:6)
Let us confess our waywardness before God and seek God's mercy:

Prayer of Confession
​
Forgive us, God,
for we have sinned.
You spoke to us through the prophets,
and we closed our ears.
You saved us from our enemies
time and time again,
and we did not give you the credit
you deserved.
You swore an oath to our ancestors,
Abraham and Sarah,
and you kept your covenant,
but we have broken our covenant with you
over and over and over again.
In your tender mercy, O God,
redeem us, we pray.
Open our ears to hear your warnings.
Rescue us from our own failures.
Remind us of our covenant with you.
Shine your light upon us,
and guide our feet in the way of peace.

Assurance of God's Grace

In (Christ) we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. (Ephesians 1:7) Hear the Good News: In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God!

Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another.
The peace of Christ be with you.
