8/14/2025 0 Comments Prayer of Dedication, P+10CO Great Shepherd, God of Hosts, you have sustained us through the most difficult of times, covering us with your right hand, and giving us life. We bring our gifts of gratitude and call upon your name with shouts of joy. Bless our gifts of time and talent, of nurture and facilitation, of healing work and artistic prayer, O God, that we may continue to serve you according to your call -- gathering your gathering your children from far and wide to share in community and creative practice. Amen.

Gather in, you severely afflicted, and seek life, according to God’s Word. (Psalm 119:107 paraphrased) Let us seek life by confessing our sins before God: Prayer of Confession Forgive us, Great Shepherd, We have broken down loadbearing walls provide structure and meaning to faith-filled lives and built up non-loadbearing walls where we live out beliefs that have no solid foundation. Turn us again, O God of hosts, and save us from ourselves. We have broken down human connections that support and unite us and built up partition walls that isolate and divide us. Turn us again, O God of hosts, and save from ourselves. We have broken down shear walls that resist lateral forces like wind and earthquake and allowed the forces of the world to reshape us through chaos and calamity. Turn us again, O God of hosts, and save us from ourselves. Hear our cries for mercy, we pray, and open our ears to hear your voice above the distractions of the world that call us to live in fear of our neighbor and to frustrate the stranger and to follow false prophets with their angry rhetoric and their immoral leadership. Turn us again, O God of hosts, and save us from ourselves. Tend our insecurities, our vulnerabilities, and help us to break down the defensive walls we have built using your name and help us to rebuild connection with one another and with you that we might more fully construct your kin-dom on earth according to the blueprints set forth in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, our Chief Cornerstone. Restore us, O God of hosts, let your face shine, that we may be saved! Assurance of God’s Grace Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes (God) who sent me has eternal life.” (John 5:24) Hear the Good News: in the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week. 8/12/2025 0 Comments Call to Worship, P+10CGather in, people of God.

God said, "I will return again to my place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face. In their distress they will beg my favor: ..." (Hosea 5:15) Let us acknowledge our guilt and seek God's face: Prayer of Confession Hear our prayers for mercy, O God. We acknowledge that we engage in empty rituals and tired habits that we need to lay down -- not to earn your approval, but to encounter you more fully. We walk alone, proud of our independence, exalting in our self-sufficiency, but without you beside us, without your voice in our ear ... your Word in our hearts, we fail to walk with holy purpose. and our choices and our actions reveal it. We have forgotten the ways in which you have rescued us, the blessings by which we are sustained, the grace you pour over us, the unconditional love that claims and calls us. And because we have forgotten, we betray you by our failure to extend support for those who are drowning in chaos, or to bless those who are struggling, or to show grace those who have also made mistakes or to love our neighbors. Have mercy on us, we pray. Deliver us from our egocentricity and lead us forward with hearts so filled with gratitude that they overflow in worship and in communal life. Assurance of God's Grace But when Christ came as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation), he entered once for all into the holy place, not with the blood of goats and calves but with his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption. (Hebrews 9:11-12) Hear the Good News: In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week. 8/5/2025 0 Comments Call to Worship, P+9CGather in, you faithful ones
who bring sacrifices of thanksgiving that honor God. When you remember what God has done and you lift your voice in praise, you honor the God who speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. Gather in, you who have forgotten, and remember God's faithfulness to you and to all of creation. Join your voices with the heavens, declaring God's righteousness to all generations.
