2/5/2026 0 Comments Prayer of Confession, E5ACall to Confession
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) Let us confess our sin before God and seek God's mercy: Prayer of Confession Forgive us, God, we think we need fancy words to talk about theological principles and doctrinal ideas, so we don’t talk about you at all. When our neighbors long for hope, we fail to share the hope we’ve come to know in Christ. When our leaders behave badly, we fail to call for justice. When our siblings in Christ harm others in your name using surface wisdom to do so, we fail to remind them of their baptismal call. Forgive us, God. Reveal to us, through the power of the Spirit, the mystery of a love that is all-encompassing and beyond our imagination. Help us to understand the gifts you have bestowed on us, and grant us the courage to live according to Christ’s example, sacrificing ourselves -- time, energy, resources, and reputation -- for the good of our neighbor. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. Assurance of God’s Grace no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the human heart conceived, what God has prepared for those who love (God). We rejoice that in the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week. 2/4/2026 0 Comments Call to Worship, E5ANo eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the human heart conceived, what God has prepared for those who love (God). God’s wisdom is something mysterious that goes deep into the interior of God’s purposes. You have seen and heard God’s wisdom because the Spirit of God has brought it all out into the open. We come to learn from God, who came in the personhood of Jesus to teach us the wisdom the world calls foolishness, so that we might pass it on. May it be so! Let us worship God!
