1/10/2024 0 Comments Call to Worship, E2BWelcome, you who know that you are fearfully and wonderfully made,
and you who have been made to believe that you are somehow flawed ... an accident of nature ... a mistake. Welcome to the house of God, creator of the universe and all things that exist within it ... the One who knew you before you were formed in the womb and called you good. You are welcome here, regardless of where and when and why and how you have been excluded before. You are a child of God. Come and worship! *If you benefit as a consumer of this content, you are invited to support the ministry of A Place of Grace with an offering via www.PayPal.me/JulieGvillo or Venmo (@Julie-Gvillo). So he came and proclaimed peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near ... (Ephesians 2:17) Let us confess our sin before God and seek God's peace. Prayer of Confession Forgive us, God, for we have sinned. We ascribe glory and strength to humans, instead of ascribing glory and strength to you. We drown out the sound of your majestic voice with the noise of human bellowing and the static created by human discontent and the destruction of war. You sit enthroned forever, yet we worship finite things instead. Forgive us, we pray, and renew a right spirit within us. Open our ears to the sound of your voice speaking to us in the wilderness. Open our heart to the peace you offer, that we might worship you -- and you alone -- in holy splendor. Assurance of God's Grace But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth. (2 Timothy 4:17) Friends, hear the Good News: In the name of Christ we have been rescued! Thanks be to God! Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us also forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you. Please extend the peace of Christ to all whom you encounter this week. Come, you who long
to worship God in holy splendor. Come, and listen for the voice of God. Come, you who long to skip like a calf. Come into God's temple and cry, "Glory!" The Lord gives strength to the Lord's people. The Lord blesses the Lord's people with peace. Come, and worship God! Genesis 1:1-5 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+1%3A1-5&version=NRSVUE
